SafeTALK for the Nation

Monday, October 19, 2009
7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Royal Oak Inn, Wellington Room

The Brandon Suicide Prevention Implementation Network (SPIN) and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) are pleased to offer a free safeTALK workshop for local community people and conference delegates from across Canada.

Suicide Alertness is for Everyone! This LivingWorks program teaches members of the community to recognize persons with thoughts of suicide and to connect the person at risk to suicide first aid resources. It teaches people to be alert helpers and uses the word “TALK” for the steps that one does to help a person with thoughts of suicide: Tell, Ask, Listen and Keep Safe.

There is no charge for this workshop, but you do need to register by contacting Nancy Kolesar at 204-571-8355.
